Kristin Northrop
Kristin is a comprehensively trained Stott Pilates Instructor and has been teaching movement since 2015. She also holds certifications in TRX and Total Barre. As a lifelong learner, Kristin completed the Diploma of Clinical Pilates through Breathe Education in 2023 and continues to increase her knowledge and develop her teaching skills through continuing education.
Kristin currently works as an educator and has over 30 years of experience teaching students with special learning needs. Helping others reach their full potential is an integral part of her professional life.
Outside of her teaching career, exercise has always been a part of her daily activities. Hiking, kayaking, yoga and Pilates are among Kristin’s current favorite activities. She recognizes the benefits of Pilates and consistent strength training in her own life, and believes Pilates to be a perfect complement to any fitness routine. Strengthening muscles, including core strength, and improving physical awareness have helped her maintain an active lifestyle.
Kristin has her own experience with regaining strength, mobility and function following injury and surgery, and using Pilates and exercise science principles, she has successfully guided clients through this journey as well. Kristin is a movement optimist and she is passionate about helping individuals reach personal fitness goals.
